What Is the Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC)?
How well do you bounce back from stress, trauma, or adversity? The CD-RISC measures psychological resilience - the ability to cope with and recover from difficult experiences.
Connor and Davidson (2003) created this 25-item scale covering five areas: hardiness and persistence under pressure, tolerance of negative emotions, openness to change, sense of control, and spiritual influences. It is used in clinical research, occupational health, military psychology, and positive psychology.
Scoring
Each item uses a 5-point scale (0 = Not true at all to 4 = True nearly all the time). Total scores range from 0 to 100. Higher scores mean greater resilience.
